The Certified General Accountants Association is a self-regulating body of members who recognize their obligation to protect the public interest. This is enhanced by:

a strict and far-reaching code of ethics and rules of professional conduct,
a compulsory continuing education program, and
CGAs in public practice are required to undergo a mandatory practice review by their peers.

The practice review program ensures that CGAs in public practice are meeting the acknowledged standards of the profession. This is an integral part of maintaining the integrity of the association.
